Stand Out From The Other Sellers on eBay - 3 Tips for Creating Your About Me Page
By Johnny Buckley

Developing an excellent About Me page for your eBay profile can have an effect on your revenue. An excellent page can help to develop confidence while a page that only has the primary details on it will let devoted eBay customers know that you are an amateur. Now, while this may be real, you do not have to tell the world!

Also, not everyone has an About Me page! When you look at a listing if there is not a "me" by their status (the "m" will be in blue and the "e" will be in red) they do not have an About Me Page! Now how many results have you seen without that?

So here is your opportunity to begin to stand out from all of the others sellers out there by developing an excellent About Me page.

Once you have logged in, press on the sitemap web link that will be at the end of the page. When the sitemap has loaded, look on the right hand side under the heading Connect and you will see About Me. Click that and you will be taken to the place to create your "me" page.

Here is a list of ideas to have on your About Me page.

1. Offer something for free

Start off by having a free of charge offer! That would get the attention of the buyer as everyone likes free things.

Naturally when you are offering something free you need to make sure that it relates to the product that you are selling. For example you may be a seller of guitars so maybe your free offer could be a pick. Or if you were promoting and selling garden products a free eBook that relates to gardening would match. However, you would not give a guitar pick if you were selling gardening products nor would you give a garden book to a person buying your guitar. Ok, some musicians may be gardeners but there are looking at your products so make sure that the free gift is related to what you are selling! I am sure you get the idea.

2. Sign Up To My Newsletter

If you have an eBay shop then having a link so that people can sign up to your newsletter will also help to promote your products and sales.

If you do not have an eBay shop yet because you may still be testing the waters, then have a link for Add To My Favorite Sellers so the person who visits your About Me Page can get notified every time you add products.

3. Previous Feedback or Praise

Having previous feedback or praise right on your About Me Page will help to inspire confidence in you.

Do not link to websites that sell products as this is a breach of the eBay terms and conditions and you may lose your ability to use eBay.
